Life Is a Team Event Endured By God’s Grace

Bible Passage: 2Cor. 1:3-4 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

I have often wondered why I am drawn to impossible assignments and why it is essential for me to solve them rather than the easy jobs requiring little effort. I have learned that impossible tasks cannot be done with your strength; they need a team effort and a creative approach. Impossible is only possible by the grace and mercies of God.

We talk of the desire to be united in purpose and understanding, but this is an impossible concept unless we choose to work together and rely on the grace of God for the outcome. Unity is found in God. Man, as a result of selfishness, destroys harmony and creates discontent.

We need to understand that God is the source of peace and contentment. When God comforts us amid the impossible activities of life, we can begin to understand what it means to be a comforter for others as we work together as children of God.

We need to stop thinking about what we want and begin thinking about what God wants. Life can be lonely and impossible when we endure in our strength, but when we choose to walk humbly before God and with each other, anything is possible.

I have found peace in the loss of a loved one because I chose to walk with God and not alone. I understand that there is no “I” in the word “team“ and that we are unstoppable with God's grace. Let’s lay aside our desires and work together to be encouragers and comforters, strengthened by God and each other, making the impossible possible!
